We’re about twelve days into Ramadan and every Tom, Dick and Harun has turned up at Geylang to take in the atmosphere of the Geylang Bazaar. Crowds aside, this yearly bazaar has become a ritual for Singaporeans to stuff their faces into Assorted Fried Foods as they make their pilgrimage to the east side of the country.
But one can easily get overwhelmed by the sights and sounds and smells, and there will be the familiar existential question that will be asked: “Where do we go from here?”
It also doesn’t help that all the go-to blogs have no maps! (looking at you TheSmartLocal, DanielFoodDiary and ladyironchef).
So because today I had to bring some friends to the bazaar, I decided to make my own. Behold, The Ultimate Map Of Geylang Bazaar 2017. I haven’t used Photoshop in like 5 years so please excuse the shoddy aesthetic, functionality is key here. This list is non-exhaustive because good lord do you know how many stalls there are at the bazaar.

The entire map can be downloaded in JPEG, PNG, or PDF and prints out in A3 (because everyone needs a map-sized map). It’s pretty self-explanatory, with numbered sections representing areas on the map and a gauge of human traffic. Good for planning where to take rests.
